Supporting your baby to move and feed with ease.

Welcoming a new baby into the world can come with a lot of questions, what's typical? Sometimes, your little one’s fussiness, feeding struggles, or movement patterns aren’t just “part of being a baby.” They can be signs of tension or asymmetry in the body that make everyday things like eating, turning the head, or lying comfortably more challenging.

At Bloom For All, we help infants feel more comfortable, move more freely, and eat more successfully by addressing the root causes of their struggles.

Babies communicate with behavior, but sometimes the why behind that behavior isn't obvious. A few common signs we see that can be connected to muscle tension or asymmetry include:

Excessive gassiness, arching, or fussiness after feeds can be connected to how comfortably your baby's body moves and digests. Tension patterns can influence how your baby's tummy feels and functions.
Not pooping every couple of days or struggling with bowel movements can be uncomfortable for babies. Tension in the tummy, hips, or pelvic floor can make it harder for them to poop with ease.
Whether by breast or bottle, feeding relies on the coordination of muscles from the neck and jaw, down to the tongue and throat. Restrictions in the body can make latching, sucking, and swallowing harder than they should be.
If your baby consistently turns their head to one side or prefers looking in one direction, they may have strength imbalances or tight muscles in the neck known as Torticollis. This can affect comfort, mobility, and even feeding.
When one part of the head is flatter than another -- known as Plagiocephaly -- it's often because your baby spends too much time in one position or isn't moving freely through full ranges of motion. Addressing underlying tension helps support more balanced movement and head shaping.

"I cannot share enough wonderful things about Bloom. We had our baby boy in therapy for 7 months with no progress. After just a few sessions, we saw amazing progress!"

How physical therapy can help

Every baby deserves to feel good in their own body. When muscles are tight or not working symmetrically, it can make movement harder, feeding uncomfortable, and everyday life more stressful for babies and caregivers.

Our whole body approach....

  • Hands on release of tension. We assess and address areas of tightness that can impact feeding, movement, and comfort.
  • Education and coaching for caregivers. You’ll learn how to support your baby’s movement and comfort throughout the day with simple strategies rooted in evidence and experience.
  • We show you what to do and when so your baby can move and eat with ease and confidence.

As parents, we know you want to be proactive! Research shows what an impact early intervention can have. We partner with you to offer hope and give you the skills you need to help your baby feel comfortable and move with ease!

Why Parents Trust Us

"
We had a really great experience with Melissa while getting help for our son’s torticollis. After just the first session, we noticed such a big difference—he was already so much less fussy and seemed a lot more comfortable.

She did a great job explaining everything and gave us a few simple exercises to do at home that were really easy to fit into our day. It felt good to have something practical we could do to help him.

The best part was finally seeing our son get some relief from his discomfort. We’re really grateful for her help and would definitely recommend her to other parents of newborns!
